Taio Cruz Confirms Working With Cheryl Cole On Her Third Album Posted: 13 Sep 2011 05:20 AM PDT Taio Cruz has confirmed that he has been working with Cheryl Cole on her third studio album.  Cheryl has taken a step back from the limelight recently, since she was sacked from her judging position on X Factor USA. Despite rumours that she was giving up on her showbiz career, it seems Cheryl is focusing on her music career and has headed straight for the studio. Taio and Chezza have worked together before on a track called 'Stand Up,' which featured on her last album 3 Words. The two have been working together to produce new material for her next LP.  "Yeah, I can't say too much about the songs, but it was great to see her again," Taio told Capital FM. "She's great and feels exactly the same as usual and was excited about recording the new album," he added. Jay-Z To Host Carnival-Themed Fundraiser In New York For Charity Posted: 13 Sep 2011 05:02 AM PDT Jay-Z will host a carnival-themed fundraiser in New York to aid his Shawn Carter Scholarship Foundation. The rapper set up the foundation in 2002 to help economically-deprived youngsters further their life through education. Jigga will host the event on September 29 at Pier 54 on West and 13 streets, however, tickets will be selling for a huge £1,000. Guests who can afford to attend the benefit will be treated to funfair rides, expensive prizes such as Gibson guitars and a Hubolt watch and tickets to see the New Jersey Nets basketball team.  Jay is no stranger to helping charities, setting up a charity auction on eBay last year with the proceeds going to the Shawn Carter foundation. The 42-year-old is ready to get back to work following the birth of her twins in April and is reportedly choosing to work with unknown producers for a fresh sound. An industry A&R agency working with Mariah, posted an advert on their website asking for producers to submit examples of their work. "Mariah Carey is working on her new studio album," the message reads. "Her label is looking for songwriters and producers that have impeccable talent to collaborate with. Back in July, Jojo recorded a remix to Drizzy's popular new track, but her remix actually became more popular than the original. Listeners were surprised to hear the fomer girl-next-door use curse words and lyrics that were of a sexual nature.  It seems that we weren't the only ones who were taken aback, because Drake reveals that he was shocked by the transformation of the youngster. "In JoJo's case she actually took the time to write really potent new lyrics," he told Paper magazine. "It was really shocking, I think, for her audience since throughout her career she's been kind of stereotyped as this teen pop star and then she comes out with this different kind of substance." FBI Detain Crazed Man Who Threatened To 'Shoot Ne-Yo In The Head!' Posted: 13 Sep 2011 02:56 AM PDT The FBI have detained a crazed man who threatened to shoot Ne-Yo in the head. TMZ reports that Sony Music Entertainment successfully sought a restraining order against Jeff Choi as they believed that they were on his hit list. Jeff began making threats months ago which included sending emails, making angry phonecalls and even making a trip down to the offices - because he believes they have released songs about him without his permisson.  Court documents state that Jeff accuses Ne-Yo, Sony boss Clive Davis and Sony CFO Kevin Kelleher for allowing the songs to be released and has been demanding $800,000 from the record label.  When the FBI conducted their own investigation into the matter they sent Jeff to a mental health facility after conducting psychiatric tests. The MC explains how fatherhood has changed him and says that he wants to teach his son to learn from his mistakes. "I try not to let [my son] influence my music," Royce tells KansasCity.com. "I try to live a double life, as horrible as that sounds. I try not to be Royce Da 5'9 in my home." "I try to just be Ryan Montgomery, a regular person, and I don't want my son looking at me like Royce Da 5'9, and he has to understand that my music is a reflection of the entire me, not just the dad but the person that goes out the door, the person that's going to protect the home, the person that's going to provide," he says. Royce has been riding high with the release of his fifth studio album Success Is Certain last month. He explains why the album was more positive than the last. "I'm a lot more positive today than I was; I was very negative back then. I'm not that no more. I'm not angry with anybody, I don't hate anybody, I don't have beef with anybody," Royce admits. Racial Equality Leaders Slam Kelis' Comments On Racism In UK, Say US Is No Better! Posted: 13 Sep 2011 02:13 AM PDT Kelis has gotten herself in trouble with racial equality leaders who have slammed her comments which suggested that the UK are not progressing in the fight against racism. Members of the equality groups say that America is no better as they are also struggling to combat racism. Kelis was enraged when a man called her a "slave" and a "disgusting Nigerian" when she was at a UK airport with her son and ranted about racism in this country on Twitter. However, a spokeperson for Runnymede Trust, says that Kelis was wrong to make those comments.  "It's worth noting that we're not a multi-cultural paradise in the UK but there is a fight back here, and there are lots of ways in which musicians like Kelis can contribute to that," they said. They added: "But I don't think we have got a huge amount to learn from America in terms of the racism that operates over there. We are struggling against racism in the same way as people are in the States." Addressing Kelis' experience of racism in UK, the spokesperson said: "What's interesting about it is you can be a star and be really famous and still not escape some of the racism that exists in both the UK and the States." The rapper has hit back at tabloids who claimed the hip-hop trio will be breaking up for good, saying that they are just trying to "bring them down." TaleTela sat down for a chat with Dappy earlier, when he set the truth straight.  "Yeah apparently they said we're splitting up, N-Dubz are splitting up no way!" he told us. "N-Dubz are not splitting, we'll come back and do a proper tour and a proper album in about a year-and-a-half to two years." Dappy also "It makes you very very angry [when people make up false stories in the media] because you know you've created this band, this group by yourself, and you've been struggling for how many years to make it in the music. All of sudden you make it and they try to bring you down and they make up any type of story just to sell their newspaper." Chaos At Kelly Rowland's House As Cops Called During X Factor Filming Posted: 13 Sep 2011 01:26 AM PDT Reports of Kelly Rowland being a diva may be somewhat accurate, as it has emerged that the police were called to her Miami, Florida beachside house last weekend to enable her to shoot scenes for The X Factor. The singer was filming scenes for the judges houses segment of the show along with the contestants, however, the cops were called to the house when a man on a jet ski begun riding close to the house on purpose creating an unbearable amount of noise. X Factor host Dermot O'Leary told The Sun: "This guy was doing it on purpose. He kept waving and we had to call the police and eventually he left. The cops are like Miami Vice, and they sorted it out. We did have to stop filming for a while though." The 29-year-old confronted Eva Asderaki when she was told she had lost a point for shouting when her opponent was in the process of making a backhand. Serena didn't appreciate the penalty and told the umpire that she was "a hater and unattrractive inside." Rather than accept the penalty in a show of good sportsmanship, Serena continued her rant even warning her to stay away from her as she may not be responsible for her actions. Rihanna's Family Want Her To Reconcile Relationship With Chris Brown! Whitney Houston & Jordin Sparks Slated To Play 'The Supremes' In New Biopic Posted: 12 Sep 2011 11:55 PM PDT Whitney Houston and Jordin Sparks are reportedly in talks to star in a new biopic based on the careers of the Supremes.  The new movie will be a remake of the 1976 which focuses on the rise of Diana Ross' successful group, and will be directed by Salim Akil who's film credits include the recent hit Jumping The Broom. According to The Hollywood Reporter, Whitney will play Jordin's mother who is sceptical of her daughter's music dreams.  Mike Epps is also expected to play the role of Satin who marries Jordin's character's sister and leads her into a life of drugs.  The remake was initially in production in 2001 when Aaliyah was to star as Sparkle, however, the movie was shelved due to her death.  Are Whitney and Jordin the right choices for the movie? Terrence Howard Threatens To 'Kill' Woman In Viscious Voicemail Message Posted: 12 Sep 2011 11:27 PM PDT Terrence Howard is in hot water after he left a viscious voicemail on a woman's mobile, saying that he was going to "kill" her. The drama started after some women got hold of his number through a friend and after a heavy drinking session, decided to leave a prank message on his phone. The message stated that the woman was in love with him, however, they didn't realise that his number was also connected to his wife's phone. Upon hearing the message, Terrence - believing that someone was harrassing his wife - proceeded to leave a hateful message on the prankster's phone. "N**ga, you been calling my wife... If you call my wife again I'm going to come to your house and I'm going to cut your f**king throat." When he realised that the message was just a prank, the Law and Order actor left another message apologising. "I'm so sorry for calling you and speaking that way," he grovelled. "I thought you were somebody that's been harrassing my wife. Please forgive me." Terrence then followed up the phonecall with a text message that read: "My wife that told me that she was receiving obscene text from you and that she was being harassed. Therefore I responded with the protective nature that a husband has for his wife." Should Terrence be forgiven for the mistake? You've got to be legendary," he said. "I wanna be what [Tupac] was to me to this new generation. And to what Kanye [West] was. My whole story, it's just all inspiring. I just want people to do what they love to do [and] follow their dreams, 'cus when you're old as hell looking back on life, you don't want to wish you should've, could've, would've done anything," Sean explained.
