A whole host of stars glammed up for a night at the Us Weekly 25 Most Stylish New Yorkers Party yesterday. Ashanti, Pharrell, Lala Vazquez and Estelle were clearly fashionable enough to attend as they were spotted pulling their best poses on the red carpet.

The event was held to celebrate the most stylish fashionistas in the New York area. Lala Vazquez and husband Carmelo Anthony looked like the perfect couple with Lala in a very formal blue, satin shift dress and her other half in a smart, grey suit.

Pharrell kept it slightly casual in a brown cardigan and a white t-shirt while Taraji P. Henson kept it chic in a black and white lace dress.

Kreayshawn Says She's No One-Hit Wonder!

Kreayshawn has insisted that she is no one-hit-wonder, saying that this is "only the beginning."

The outspoken rapper is currently in the UK on a promotional tour, and stopped by Tim Westwood's show on BBC Radio 1Xtra, to talk about her debut track 'Gucci Gucci.' She said: "No, this is not my Thong Song," in reference to Sisqo's 2000 hit. 

"This is only the beginning. This is a song that got me up here and got me recognised, and I got more to come. When we did 'Gucci Gucci,' we did a whole bunch of other songs so there is a lot more coming."

Further declaring that she is ready for a long music career, 'Shawn added: "I'm gonna be making hits, man. I'm here to stay."

Man Who Claimed Jay-Z Fathers Secret Child Retracts Statement As Rapper's Rep Denies Story

The man who accused Jay-Z of having a secret love child with model Shenelle Scott has now backtracked part of his statement, saying that he is not aware of any DNA evidence confirming the rapper as the father.

Shenelle's ex-boyfriend Malik Sayeed initially believed he was the father but he claimed the baby looked nothing like him, and his father Jerald Andrews told Star magazine that they then took a DNA which confirmed Jay as the father. 

However, Jerald has now told another publication that he is in fact not aware of any DNA test taking place. "I know Shenelle, but I've never spoken to her or my son about this. They're very priavte people," he told The Daily News.

"The stuff about the DNA test was on the internet. It's all from an old article on the internet. I don't know if it's true."

Simultaneously, Jay's reps have released a statement claiming that the rumours are false. "There is no truth to these ridiculous rumours," the rep told Allhiphop.com. "People should be ashamed of using this kind of story and exploiting a child for publicity and ratings."

Tulisa Contostavlos: 'I Can't Help But Read Bad Comments About Myself In Magazines'

Tulisa Contostavlos has revealed that she reads about herself in the media as she wants to know about the "horrible" things that people write about her.

Speaking to We Love Pop magazine, Tulisa admits that she wants to toughen up so that the negative press doesn't effect her. "I'm trying to be as tough as possible. I'm actually training myself. The other day I went on some websites to find the worst comments possible about myself," she said.

"I read every single one of them. I'd want to know how I'd feel seeing and hearing people that hate me saying the most horrible things."

However, it couldn't have effected Tulisa too much as she admits: "I just kinda laughed."

Tulisa is currently starring as a judge on The X Factor and has received mixed reviews for her judging skills.

Consequence Says Feud With Kanye West Over - But Not With Q-Tip!

Consequence has declared his feud with Kanye West over, but says that he still has beef with his cousin Q-Tip.

The former G.O.O.D. Music rapper has revealed that he and Kanye have resolved to end their differences, after Yeezy told him he "loves" him. Speaking to MTV's Rap Fix, Con said: "Me and Kanye spoke. We spoke. I hit him. He hit me back with one of them all-caps tirades [via email]. So, he was p**sed, and rightfully so. I was p**sed. That's why things had happened the way they happened."

Continuing to explain how the feud came to an end, Con added: "He spoke his piece and I spoke my piece. He told me he loved me. The feud is over with Kanye. Is the feud over with other people? See me in the streets."

When pressed on whether he has let bygones be bygones with cousin Q-Tip, Con didn't appear to be in a forgiving mood. "Through mutual friends, I've heard that he's wanted to speak with me or whatever. But, when you opt to talk to bloggers instead of your cousin? I don't pump like that."

Tip and Con fell out after a conversation on the phone turned nasty and the two haven't been in contact since.

The Ride singer was spotted on her way to lunch in Beverley Hills wearing a white maxi skirt teamed with a navy, stripy, loose-fitting top. Depsite having her hair messily scraped back, CiCi still looked effortlessly cool.

Ciara has been spotted out and about a lot recently, including lunching with her famous best friends Kim Kardashian and Lala Vazquez. However, she hasn't been seen visiting a recording studio since being dropped by record label Jive.

Nicki Minaj has plunged headfirst into the world of fashion and was seen sitting next to US Vogue editor-in-chief Anna Wintour at New York Fashion Week.

The 28-year-old was seen mingling with the fashion elite with her usual flair and Tweeted a number of times about the experience.

The 'Fly' MC wrote: “OMFG! Someone get me an ambulance. Upon seeing Oscar De La Renta's new line, I'm #!@%*#ing GAGGING!!!”

“Oscar De La Renta w/my date Anna Wintour again. Oscar is a very handsome man. So is Valentino. Tell ya all about the collection in a bit!”

Fresh from filming a guest spot on Tyra Banks hit show America’s Next Top Model, Minaj recently admitted the opportunity had been a dream come true as she has been a long-time fan of the modelling series since it began seven years ago.

Kim Kardashian Rows With Husband Kris Humphries After Failing To Turn Up For His Sister's Fashion Show

Kim Kardashian is reportedly in husband Kris Humphries' bad books after she failed to turn up to support his sister during a fashion show.

Kris expected the 30-year-old to turn up with her sisters Kourtney and Khloe, however, the three of them failed to show up and there were three empty seats on the front row. According to the New York Post's Page Six, Kris was fuming when he realised Kim was not coming and was seen on his phone trying to contact her. 

A source told the publication: "Kim and her sisters were supposed to come and sit front-row but there were three empty seats. He's always there to support her family and she wasn't there for his."

Kris had attended Kim's sister Kylie's runway debut earlier in the week, so he expected his new wife to show his family the same support. 

It is thought that Kourtney was a no-show because her son Mason had an accident so had to visit the doctor.

Jennifer Hudson Sets Wedding Date!

Jennifer Hudson has set a date for her wedding to fiance David Otunga, after being engaged for three years.

The 'I Remember Me' singer revealed that she has always had a wedding date set but has never announced it - and she is still keeping schtum. According to Showbiz Spy, Jennifer said: "I've always had a [wedding] date! I just haven't told anybody. So it's set!"

She added: "I've been through a lot in my life and I'm just trying to take it one step at a time. I'm one of those girls like, 'Okay, let me get used to this right here! Give me a second."

While she may be certain of the date, Jennifer admits that - like any bride-to-be - she is constantly changing her mind on the arrangements. "One minute I want the biggest wedding ever, and the next second I'm like - I'm not sure if I want big or small, or if it's just family."

Jennifer and David have a two-year-old son, David Daniel Otunga Jr. together.

J. Cole And Jay-Z Join Forces On 'Mr. Nice Watch'

It seems like Jay-Z finally made it onto J. Cole’s debut album Cole World: The Sideline Story.

‘Mr Nice Watch' sees Jay and Cole trade bars over the track and on the heavy-hitting electronic beat Jay raps: “What up Cole, it’s your time, let these ni**as know.”

J. Cole is also featured with R&B star Trey Songz in the new video  for ‘Can’t Get Enough’, the second single off his debut LP released on September 27th.

The Roc Nation MC is seen chilling out in Barbados in the laid back promo, directed by Clifton Bell the pair are seen having a good time with ‘California King Bed’ star Rihanna.

Talking to Rap-Up.com, J. Cole said: “It’s like ‘Big Pimpin’’ minus the million-dollar budget…there’s no concept or storyline whatsoever. It’s just mad sun, beaches, and beautiful women. It’s just all beautiful visuals and fun.”

15 years ago on September 13, 1996, the music world lost one of the greatest rappers of all time, when Tupac Shakur was gunned down in Los Angeles.

The rapper was in the midst of success having just released his second number one album All Eyez On Me that February and on the verge of releasing his fifth studio album. Pac had an impressive rap career and won music fans over with his conscious lyrics, infectious humour and bad boy charm. 

His first album spawned his debut hit 'Brenda's Got A Baby,' while 'California Love' and 'How Do You Want It' were taken from his fourth studio album All Eyez On Me.

Video Emerges Of Night Swizz Beatz Met Mistress Christina Elizabeth

Video footage has emerged of the night that Swizz Beatz met the woman he is alleged to have cheated on wife Alicia Keys with.

In the clip filmed by Take Over TV and posted on Bossip.com, a woman alleged to be Christina Elizabeth can be seen standing with a group of friends while Swizz is standing nearby, filming a piece-to-camera for the TV network. The night in question is supposedly a birthday party held for Solange Knowles, although it is thought Christina has no friendship with her. 

Reports emerged earlier this week of Swizz cheating on Alicia with Christina, when a series of intimate text messages were leaked online. Both Swizz and Alicia have laughed off the allegations and they have since been spotted enjoying each other's company with Alicia even throwing Swizz a surprise birthday party.

Lil Wayne's 'Tha Carter IV' Certified Platinum In Second Week

Lil Wayne's latest album Tha Carter IV has been certified platinum in it's second week of sales.

There were several inaccurate reports which stated that the 'How To Love' rapper had reached the platinum mark in the first week of the album's release, however, he was just short of selling 1 million copies.

Now, the official Billboard charts confirm that Weezy's ninth studio album has reached platinum status selling 219,000 in the last week keeping it a the number one spot. 

The achievement is surprising considering that the record was leaked a week prior to its release. Weezy said he was "happy" that the album leaked as it meant that people wanted to buy his music.

Reports Of Jay-Z Having A Secret Son Have Resurfaced

A man has come forward claiming that rapper Jay-Z fathers a secret love child with Trinidadian model Shenelle Scott. He alleges that Jay even paid Scott $1 million to keep quiet. Jerald Andrews

Jerald Andrews says that when Chenelle's baby was born he thought his son Malik Sayeed was the father, but realised the child looked nothing like him and so ordered the model to get a DNA test.

 

He told Star magazine: “Everyone knew she was sleeping around and sleeping with Jay. There was a good chance it was his…they did DNA tests. Maybe two weeks later, [my son] called me and said, 'Daddy, I got some bad news [He’s] not my son.' I said, 'How do you know, Malik?' He said, 'He doesn’t look anything like me!'"

Jerald says that the child has been confirmed as Jay-Z’s, and that the rapper is paying the model child support which she used to buy a house in Trinidad for her whole family to live in.

“She says he’s a good father and he has a lot of interest in [the boy]. It was a big old mess at one time, but I think once they resolved the issue of fatherhood, of paternity, I think things started to level off," he added.

Sources claim that Jay’s current wife superstar Beyoncé was "livid" when she first found out, but she's decided to stick by Jigga.

Last month, Beyonce announced that the couple are expecting their first child together.

Rihanna Confirms Working On Sixth Album

Rihanna has confirmed that she is currently working on her sixth studio album, but refuses to give away any details.

The 'Cheers (Drink To That)' singer is currently on a worldwide tour, performing songs from her latest platinum-selling album Loud, however, she is still finding time to work on new material. RiRi confirmed the news to her fans on Twitter, writing: "Yaaayy I can't wait to start filling you guys in on some details!! *zip lips*!" 

Loud has reached the number one spot in four countries and has sold more than five million copies worldwide. It has spawned several hits including 'S&M,' 'What's My Name' and 'Only Girl (In The World).'

Labrinth Premieres New Track 'Earthquake' Featuring Tinie Tempah

Labrinth has premiered his new track Earthquake which features Tinie Tempah.

The pair have worked together in the past with Lab producing the beat for Tinie's debut hit Pass Out and second single Frisky. Lab premiered 'Earthquake' last night on BBC 1Xtra on Mistajam's show, saying: "If you think I've gone quiet, well, 'Earthquake' is showing everyone that I can smash it."

Labrinth has famously been taking his time recording his debut album and the only other material he has released is 'Let The Sunshine' which climbed to number 2 in the charts.

'Earthquake' is released on October 23.

T.I. Unveils Cover Art For 'Power & Beauty' Novel

T.I. has unveiled the cover art for his forthcoming novel Power & Beauty, which is scheduled for release next month.

The rapper is currently incarcerated in jail after violating his parole - just a day after he was given an early release. Despite this, business carries on as usual because he will be releasing his first novel Power & Beauty next month.

Power & Beauty tells the tale of two friends whose lives are turned upside down when the become involved in Atlanta's criminal underworld.

The novel will be available in stores on October 18.

Chaka Khan Takes Daughter From Drug Addict Son

Soul singer Chaka Khan has been awarded temporary custody of her 10-year-old granddaughter because her parents are drug addicts.

According to legal documents obtained by TMZ last week, the ‘Ain’t Nobody’ star filed a petition for guardianship which said she “assumed on a day-to-day basis the role of the child's parent fulfilling both the child's physical and psychological needs for care and affection."

Khan claims the girl’s mother is incapable of raising the child due to her heavy drug use.

Chaka’s sister Tammy McCrary was also awarded custody and filed another statement in the same petition, claiming Chaka's son "also uses and abuses drugs and other illegal substances."

On September 6th a judge temporarily granted the petition for custody and extended it today.

A hearing is set for October to make it permanent.

VIDEO: Chris Brown Opens American Tour With A Lapdance!

Chris Brown kicked off the North American leg of his F.A.M.E. tour in Toronto’s Molson Canadian Amphitheatre by giving another fan a lap dance.

The ‘Beautiful People’ singer will headline 28 concerts in North America, and last night performed all of his biggest hits including ‘Deuces’ and ‘Look At Me Now,’ the 22-year-old dazzled fans with energetic dancing and paid tribute to his hero Michael Jackson.

Joining him on this tour was Young Money rapper Tyga, T-Pain, and Kelly Rowland who performed her singles ‘Motivation’ and ‘Lay It On Me’ off of her latest LP Here I Am.
