Collaboration projects with Tricker’s are very common now a days, from brands to boutiques lining up to work with the traditional British shoe manufacturer. However, Japanese streetwear giant SWAGGER is venturing into an off beat route with their project. The selection of a 7 hole wing tip boot style does not come as a surprise, though the details on these boots are quiet unique. First and foremost, visual impact is created by a bandanna that wraps around the ankle portion of the boots. Furthermore, an eye catching red boot is included amongst the trio of boots made up of classic black and navy pairs. Last but definitely not the least, the usually smooth leather soles have been embossed with a custom designed pattern.

One of the most recognizable characters created by UK artist James Jarvis is this YOD character. Its simple design have charmed many fans the world over and Amos Toys is launching a new version of the YOD figure very soon. Amos Toys teamed up with Japanese design studio Landscape Products in producing the Wood YOD 2 figure. Produced from dark brown walnut trees, these figures are limited to only 50 units worldwide and will be going on sale from Saturday, December 17th. They say imitation is the sincerest form of flattery, and these sneakers clearly borrow the concept of adidas Originals byJeremy Scott sneakers. However, rather than making a complete bootleg, Japanese independent sneaker brand UBIQ tackled this project with the biggest name in the Sanrio enterprise, Hello Kitty. Naturally these pair may garner mixed response, but one can not possibly dislike the Hello Kitty soft toy stuck on the tongue. Dubbed the Mascot Fatima, these sneakers only come in ladies sizes and are currently available as pre-order at CHAPTER WORLD on ZOZOTOWN. The wait is finally over! Levi Maestro is unveiling his collaboration sneaker with VANS Vault. In sharing this special unveiling, Levi partnered up with another heavyweight in the sneaker industry, SNEAKER FREAKER. There is a short interview on their website about the design process and the meaning behind each detail on the shoes. Several key designs that make this sneaker unique is its squared off lace holes that feeds through waxed laces. Also the outsole is made from seven different colors, representing Levi’s viewpoint that a person may be completely different on the inside as opposed to their outside. Kanye West & Jay-Z gives us another glimpse into their life on the latest upload from his Watch The Throne Video Diary series on VOYR. For this video entry, Mr. West takes us back to his roots in Chicago. While their hit track Otis plays in the background, their car rolls through the neighborhood where he grew up. West also shares candid stories of his childhood moments with Jay-Z in the backyard of the house where he grew up. Sneaker aficionados worldwide were agog at the initial images of the Nike LeBron 9 “Watch the Throne” when they surfaced online a month ago. As much as we claim to favor clean lines and classic styling, the incontrovertible truth is that many of us are drawn to the pomp and circumstance of flashy colors and ornate design. Perhaps the sensibility of excess espoused by Watch the Throne signals the swinging of the pendulum away from austerity toward extravagance — economic climate be damned — and explains the runaway success of H&M‘s collection with the house of Versace, a fashion label that was practically the ’90s avatar for conspicuous consumption. Yeezy, whose baroque-leaning sense of style heavily influenced Watch the Throne‘s album design, was recently spotted wearing a jacket from the line, and we can’t help observe the perfect footwear to finish the look would have been a pair of these special edition LeBron 9s. The rumor is there are only seven of these beauties in existence, one pair of which is now in the possession of rapper Big Sean, who’s currently opening for Kanye and Jay-Z on the Watch the Throne tour. The popularity of the ’90s-era Reebok Insta Pump Fury has endured in Japan, if not outright flourished, in a way it never did here in the U.S. It’s a phenomenon that’s perhaps aided and abetted by a string of high profile collaborations centered around the uniquely styled sneaker, the most recent of which comes in the form of a leopard patterned number from the crew at mita sneakers. Aside from the conspicuous jungle-themed design, the shoe features a black synthetic overlay adorned with contrast white stitching, hits of grey and white at the toe and midsole, and red accenting along the outsole and leather pull tabs. This Japanese exclusive is slated to drop on January 2nd. Release Date: January 2nd, 2012 (Monday)

Having showcased the twosome of boot models from Mark McNairy’s footwear series for Canada’s HAVEN, we shift our attention now to their lowcut brethren, the Navy Country Brogue Shoe and Snuff Punch Cap Derby shoe. Similarly crafted in Northamptonshire, England, both shoe styles are built with an all suede upper and natural crepe wedge sole for a traditional yet casual look. The Country Brogue is finished in a rich navy hue with trademark perforations atop durable Goodyear welt construction. Painted white eyelets and round waxed white laces offer a sporty contrast to the classic brogue design. The Cap Derby Shoe features a punch cap toe and round hiker laces for a rugged aesthetic, while the brown snuff suede upper is complemented with leather lining and insole providing a premium touch.
