| NIKEiD Paul Rodriguez 5 Mid | Available Now Posted: 30 Sep 2011 06:00 AM PDT It wasn’t long ago that we were reporting Paul Rodriguez’s fifth signature shoe for Nike SB was debuting on NIKEiD, the first shoe from Nike’s skateboarding division to appear on the sneaker customizing platform. Built with Lunarlon cushioning like the Koston 1 before it, the P-Rod 5 was a fairly low-profile shoe, its standout option on NIKEiD the ability to select different colors of elephant print on the quarter panel. That option has remained with the P-Rod 5 Mid, which is now available on NIKEiD. In fact, as far as we can tell the material and color options for both the Mid and Low are identical, so if you’ve been playing around with design ideas for the Low but were waiting for the Mid, you’re way ahead of the game. The CONVERSE First String Shooter is built with a tonal suede upper and white midsole. Details include metal eyelets and constrast-colored heel strip in navy leather. Japanese fashion brand Beauty & Youth took the opportunity to team up with Casio for their 5th anniversary, designing their original AWG-M500BY. The matte black exterior sets off the silver details on the dials, providing versatility for formal and casual occasions. Ion Plating protects the watch from scratches and rusting, while the Tough Solar technology keeps the watch ticking without the need to replace its batteries. The watch is safely packed in a custom box and it will be available at Beauty & Youth retail stores shortly.

| Posted: 30 Sep 2011 01:00 AM PDT LACOSTE L!VE, the Lacoste sub-brand that skews toward a younger target market, has partnered with Cool Cats, the nascent fashion label formed by a Parisian troika composed of heavy hitters Busy P, So Me and Michael Dupouy. Their collaborative effort will eventually result in a capsule collection made up of polos, tees, varsity jacket, cardigan, crewneck sweater and sneakers. For now, we can show you images of the sneakers, which are boat shoe-inspired and crafted from blue denim with red accents, along with a distinctive leopard-print insole. The collection is expected to release in November at LACOSTE L!VE shops worldwide, while an exclusive color of each item will be available through the Cool Cats site.

And now October will see the launch of the first ever LeBron James signature shoe on NIKEiD, the Hyperfused, Flywired LeBron 9. Nike isn’t wasting any time getting LeBron’s ninth signature sneaker up on the customizing site — it’s set to launch on October 25th, the same date that the general release black/red-white colorway drops in stores. | Posted: 29 Sep 2011 10:00 PM PDT F.C.R.B., the football-inspired co-op label run by SOPHNET. and Nike, is set to release a collection firmly in its wheelhouse: a warm-up jacket, game short and long-sleeve “piste,” all designed with a distinctive Nordic print. Available in blue or burgundy, each item is branded with Nike Swoosh and F.C.R.B. logo. Releasing at the same time is a great looking M-65 jacket in charcoal grey that should appeal to all clotheshorses, whether they’re football fans or not. | VANS x Disney – Minnie Couture Posted: 29 Sep 2011 07:04 PM PDT Streetwear aficionados have seen enough Disney collaborations limited to images of Mickey’s smiling mug on hoodies and tees that it’ll take something really new to grab our attention. Having said that, we’ll admit a Minnie Mouse inspired women’s shoe from VANS that looks more fuzzy slipper than sneaker fits the bill. It should be noted, that comparison more accurately describes the Slip-On model than the other shoe in the pack, a Sk8-Hi similarly done up in brown fur, with cream fur lining and pink foxing wrapped around an off-white white midsole. The Sk8-Hi also comes with pink polka dot laces, presumably inspired by the bow that Minne Mouse wears atop her head. Scheduled to open its doors tomorrow at 11 am, the store’s grand opening will coincide with the release of Ronnie’s latest collaboration with asics, the highly anticipated Gel Lyte III Salmon Toe. Ronnie has unveiled an image of the store’s interior, revealing a well-appointed space handsomely dressed with dark wood and atmospheric lighting. Spare, modern and inviting all at once, the storefront will likely see its share of lines and campouts in the future (and by that, we mean in addition to the line that started this past Monday for the Salmon Toes).
