Fabolous: 'I'm One Of Few Artists Who Have Stood The Test Of Time In Rap Game'

Fabolous has reflected on his career and reveals his surprise at being "one of few artists who have stood the test of time" in the rap game.

The rapper released his debut LP Ghetto Fabolous ten years ago and discusses how he has managed to have a lengthy career in the tough rap game. "It's crazy because that album was my baby, but you don't come in thinking that you'll be rapping for ten years or be around ten years or people will be loving your music for ten years," he told XXLMag.com.

"You kind of live nonchalant, kind of just doing your thing, get on, get some money. You never look at trying to achieve longevity, you just want to come in and do your thing right at that moment. I'm one of the few artists I guess, standing the test of time you know what I'm saying."

He added: "I'm still here and still making great music and people are still appreciating my music and I'll continue to make it as long as people dig it and appreciate it."

Dappy Announces First Solo UK Tour!

Dappy has announced that he will be embarking on his first UK solo tour later this year.

The rapper is in good spirits following his debut single 'No Regrets' going straight in at number one, and has revealed that he will be going on his first solo tour across the UK. The 24-year-old will be kicking off the tour in Norwich on December 9 before finishing off at the Indigo O2 in London. 

Dappy will ne performing tracks from his forthcoming album No Regrets in a bid to promote his first solo record.

The dates for Dappy's tour are as follows:

December 9 - Norwich, UEA

December 10 - Birmingham, HMV Institute

December 11 - Manchester, Academy

December 12 - Sheffield, Plug

December 13 - Liverpool, O2 Academy

December 15 - Glasgow, O2 ABC

Common: 'Talking About Serena Williams And Erykah Badu Relationships In Book Perfect Way To Vent'

Common says that talking about his past relationships with Serena Williams and Erykah Badu in his new memoir was the perfect way to vent his feelings.

The lyricist recently published his first memoir One Day It'll All Make Sense, and discusses details about his time with the soul singer and tennis player. While he was initially sceptical to talk about those failed relationships, Common now admits that it was the perfect way to vent. "I feel like this is the medium to do it," he told the Chicago Tribune.

"When I'm in a relationship, I'm not going to parade that relationship. It's not for public consumption. It's my life. But when I'm talking about things that happened in the past, this is perfect for me."

Common also says that he did not write the book to preach, but he wanted other people to be entertained and learn from his life experiences. "The stories I'm telling are not only to entertain, but they're there to inspire and to relate to and to say, 'Man, this guy is not perfect, this guy been through some of the same things I've been through and he just decided to make some choices and is doing well."

"But he's still a work in progress."

Keyshia Cole Marries Husband Daniel Gibson For Second Time In Hawaiian Ceremony!

Keyshia Cole has married husband Daniel Gibson in a second ceremony in front of close family and friends.

The singer and her NBA star beau first walked down the aisle last year, however, they eloped and left their loved ones at home. In a romantic gesture by Daniel, he flew everyone out the beautiful island of Hawaii to celebrate their nuptials together. Keyshia tweeted the news, writing: "My husband wanted me to have my DREAM WEDDING so he flew all of our family members here! He's giving something I will NEVER forget! Amazing!"

She continued: "This is soo absolutely beautiful! I'm so glad we're taping this so you can all see! I got EVERYTHING I WANTED today! My husband is amazing!"

Keyshia put aside any differences she has had with her mother Frankie, who was present at the ceremony, and her sister Neffe was also in attendance.

The ceremony was filmed for the couple's upcoming reality show Family First which premieres in February.

Game: 'Working With Dr Dre Again Was Happiest Time Of My Career'

Game has revealed that working with his mentor Dr Dre again was the "happiest time of [his] career."

Dre and Game lost contact with each other when Game fell out with 50 Cent back in 2005. The two decided to get their friendship back on track earlier this year and headed straight for the studio. Speaking about their friendship to XXL Magazine, Game said: "We started working on The R.E.D. Album, and some of the songs we did for The R.E.D. Album he snatched for Detox."

"Then we worked on some more, and he gave me more for R.E.D. At that time, I was probably the happiest I was in my career. Back working with Dre. Working really closely. Our relationship has always been real easygoing, man. Especially when it comes to the music," Game continued.

Despite working with Dre again, Game has not mended his friendship with Fiddy.

Chris Brown Takes A Tumble On Stage During F.A.M.E. Tour Peformance

Chris Brown suffered embarassment this weekend when he was performing on his F.A.M.E. tour.

The singer was giving an impressive performance of 'Beautiful People' when he slid down the steps he was walking down, causing the audience to gasp. Not one to let a little tumble spoil the rest of the show, Breezy swiftly pulled himself up before carrying on with the rest of the show.

It was announced last week that Breezy will be joined on tour by Bow Wow, having already been joined by Kelly Rowland.

VIDEO: J. Cole Premieres 'Daddy's Little Girl' Music Video

J. Cole has premiered the music video for his Cole World: The Sideline Story cut Daddy's Little Girl.

The clip sees a ballerina perform in a dark, empty room before flicking to images of her performing in a strip club on a pole, symbolising how 'Daddy's Little Girl' took the wrong path in life. Towards the end of the clip, the girl sheds a tear after realising what has become of her life.

Cole is gearing up for the release of his debut LP which drops tomorrow.

Mariah Carey Back In Studio With Jermaine Dupri

Mariah Carey is back in the studio with friend and long-time collaborator Jermaine Durpi.

The two are working on Mariah's next album, despite the 42-year-old giving birth to her twins less than six months ago. Mariah and Jermaine have a long history of working together with the producer contributing extensively to her 2005 smash hit which spawned her popular song We Belong Together.

Mariah could not contain her excitement about working Jermaine, tweeting: "So happy to be back in the studio with the one & only @Mr_Dupri aka Jermash! We are back together." She also posted a picture of herself behind the decks in the studio. 

The singer has not released any material since 2010's Merry Christmas II You which peaked at number 4 on the US Billboard charts.

Eve Announces New Album Dropping Early 2012

Eve has announced that her highly-anticipated next studio album Lip Lock will drop in March 2012.

The rapper has been on a lengthy nine-year hiatus while she focused on her acting career, but Eve felt that this year was the right year to head back to the studio and decided to work on her next LP.

In an interview with Ms. Drama TV, Eve revealed when we can expect her next effort, saying: "I been saying my album was coming and it was, but I left Interscope and now, I'm on EMI so the album is definitely coming at the top of the new year. It's called Lip Lock, it'll be out at the top of the year in March. I don't have a date yet."

She also took the opportunity to shoot down rumours that she will be releasing material with Ruff Ryderz, adding: "You don't get out of Ruff Ryders. Obviously, that's my fam, and I haven't wrapped up the album yet, but you'll hear stuff from somebody."

Kim Kardashian and husband Kris Humphries were spotted taking a walk in New York City yesterday, putting on a united front amid rumours their marriage is in crisis.

The couple, who married just over a month ago, have been plagued by rumours that their marriage is in trouble. Kim is said to find Kris annoying due to his little habits while Kris is finding hard to adjust to the lifestyle Kim and her family live by.

30-year-old Kim and her basketball player husband Kris were spotted making their way to a sports bar in Gramercy, NYC and had dinner earlier on in the day. 

Kim is currently in New York filming scenes for her reality spin-off Kourtney and Kim Take New York with her sister Kourtney.

JLS Unveil 'Jukebox' Album Cover Art

JLS have unveiled the cover art for their forthcoming third studio album Jukebox.

The artwork sees the boys standing side-by-side with the backdrop of a city and skyscrapers behind them. The image is given a burst of life with the boys' primary colours: blue, yellow, green and red. 

The boys have drummed up plenty of anticipation for this album in the form of singles 'Eyes Wide Shut' and 'She Make Me Wanna,' which soared to the top of the charts in July making it the group's fifth number one.

Marvin, Aston, Oritse and JB will be releasing their next single 'Take A Chance On Me' on November 7 before embarking on a 13-date arena tour in March.

Lauryn Hill Sued For Not Returning Clothes During 2007 EuropeanTour

Lauryn Hill is being sued for not returning and paying for the clothes that she wore during her 2007 European tour.

The 'Ex Factor' singer embarked on a long tour of Europe four years ago and used fashion consultant company Via Davia Vintage to supply clothes for her shows. Now, documents obtained by TMZ.com claim that Lauryn was provided with an entire wardrobe of high fashion items which she allegedly agreed to pay weekly over four weeks.

According to the lawsuit, Lauryn kept the clothes for three months and only paid a small amount of the agreed fee before returning 30 per cent of the clothes.

This is not the first lawsuit Lauryn has received over the 2007 tour. Just last month, guitarist Jay Gore sued the singer £12,500 after claiming that she did not pay him the full amount he was owed.

Review: Lostribe - 'Sophie' (CFO)

Electro hip-hop is a label excessively used when describing the sound that seasoned artists Lostribe, comprised of lyricist Agustus ThElefant and producer JustLuv, create. However, while the duo push the borders of creativity with their signature brand of synth heavy hip-hop, their latest effort seems to work a lot better when instead they work with some seductive samples and heartfelt lyrical content.                    

Easily one of the most eye-opening and emotionally uplifting records of the past six months, ‘No Other Word’ is a dedication to the word love and the different scenarios it can be used in. Helping to express the various semantics  of the word in question, Maryann Hunter, N8 The Gr8, and BK emcee Talib Kweli are on hand to drop some lyrical science. Expressively attentive and with an instrumental very pleasing to the ear, there’s absolutely no excuse for hitting the skip button when it rolls around.               

Immediately following each other, ‘Gettin Back’ and ‘Break Up Song’ hit hard like a one-two punch from Floyd Mayweather Jr. The soothing piano riff, which actually plays second fiddle to the mid-tempo drum loop, on ‘Gettin Back’ is guaranteed to leave you in a reflective state. Whatever you’re thinking about, Deja Solis will help take you there with her touching vocals and occasional ad-libs. Lyrically on-point, the Lostribe boys really do reintroduce that real love for hip-hop back in to the ears of those willing to get involved. While the positive energy is flowing with the above mentioned, a shot of reality is injected in to things with ‘Break Up Song’. Not needing to be a rocket scientist to work out the path upon which the lyrical content takes, featuring Gift of Gab of Blackalicious fame, this sombre number is an articulate look at the aftermath of a love now lost. Meaningful and an honest look at break ups, reflective lines like, “Finally a lesson learned but the growth came too late,” combined with some on-point scratches and a catchy Common sample, this is another example to prove Lostribe’s musical worth.      

As previously mentioned, much of the electronic influence Lostribe inject in to their music seems to be a bit of a lost cause with regards to this album. Because of how tightly constructed the songs mentioned above already are they’re a tough act to follow. Tracks such as ‘Live Like A Rebel’ and ‘Know The Name’ seem instrumentally overloaded. At times the lyrical execution sounds forced and awkward over an array of purposely off key notes, but the main issue here seems to be the volume at which the production is recorded. Almost trumping the words by edging them out of the listeners earshot, Lostribe have the potential to be a highly respected hip-hop act with huge underground success if they concentrate on one thing at a time.

P. Diddy is reportedly planning a lavish homecoming party for T.I., when he released from his halfway house next month.

Tip is currently completing the rest of his eleven-month prison sentence in a halfway house after he was given an early release from prison last month. Following a series of issues concerning his prison sentence, it is understandable that T.I. will need a big pick-me-up when he is finally released.

And who better to organise a lavish party than infamous partier P. Diddy. The hip-hop mogul is said to be taking charge of the celebration that will take place on October 2 in Atlanta, Georgia.

TMZ.com reports that Diddy is shipping in 150 bottles of his Ciroc-brand vodka for the party that is said to cost £66,667.

Tyler, The Creator's Alter-Ego, Young N***a Releases Track Online

OFWGKTA's publicist and spokesperson provided a formal press release for the signing of Young N***a on Friday, an alter-ego of Odd Future's Tyler, The Creator.

Initially deemed a prank by many online news websites, it seems that Odd Future's first signing Young N***a has released a track online called ‘Come Threw Looking Clean,’ which can be found online and is produced by the original Tyler, the Creator.

The label’s publicist had previously said: “While our original intent was not to sign anyone to the label we simply could not pass up the opportunity to sign somebody this talented.”

“Young Ni**a embodies the DIY ethic and persona of Odd Future along with a commercial appeal that transcends demographics.”

Tyler's Odd Future collective signed a distribution deal with Sony/RED earlier this year.

N-Dubz Tulisa and Fazer have made their first outing as a couple when they attended Dappy's celebration for his number one single 'No Regrets.'

Tulisa revealed in an interview that she had been dating somebody who she described as her "rock" and it did not take long before everybody worked out it was her bandmate Fazer. The two have been rumoured to be dating for more than a year but they wanted to keep their romance quiet for fear it would overshadow their work.

Now, with the group taking a break from each other, they have decided to make it official with their first public outing.

Rihanna And Calvin Harris Warned By Fans To Make 'We Found Love' A Good Song

Rihanna and Calvin Harris were warned by fans that their latest single 'We Found Love' had to live up to their expectations.

Calvin - who produced the dance track - revealed that he and RiRi were under pressure to create a enough single to please their fans. Speaking to Britain's Capital FM, the DJ said: "It was crazy, all the fans on Twitter. Tweeting me saying, 'The song better not be rubbish' before they heard it."

He continued: "There was some mild threatening nature to them, but it's all part of the fun."

It seems the track has gone down well with fans because it is currently sitting in the top five on the iTunes chart. Calvin reveals his thoughts on how the song turned out, adding: "[Rihanna] sounds great on it. I love the tune. Loved it for a while and I'm glad that it's out there finally."

Romeo Miller Freestyles To Jay-Z & Kanye West's 'N**gas In Paris'

Romeo Miller has freestyled over Jay-Z and Kanye West's new track 'N**gas In Paris,' following suit of Trey Songz and Game.

The rapper and actor raps about jetting to Paris with reality star Paris Hilton, becoming the next Jay-Z and Will Smith while comparing his bank balance to that of Mary Kate and Ashley Olsen. Romeo has followed in the footsteps of Game and Trey Songz who have both freestyled over the infectious beat.

The track has caused controversy recently, when Hollywood actor Alec Baldwin's daughter wrote the N-Word on her Twitter page when she said that she liked the song.

PHOTOS: Game, Young Buck & Twista Play Fresh Fest 2011

Game and Young Buck buried any rumours of animosity between the two MC’s on stage at the 93.5 KDAY’s Fresh Fest concert 2011 over the weekend.

The concert, which was put on by the Los Angeles based hip-hop station 93.5 KDAY, saw Hip-Hop star Game headline with E-40, WC, Twista, Mack 10 and Young Buck completing the line-up.

Security was heightened for the ‘Red Nation’ star after the rapper’s recent altercation outside a Hollywood nightclub where the rapper was accused of assaulting a man in front of Colony nightclub.

Backed by his band 1500 or Nothin’, the 31-year-old started off by performing tracks off his newly released R.E.D. album. The crowd was then ignited when the rap star brought newcomer fellow Compton artist Kendrick Lamar onstage to perform. Game then confessed to not seeing his former G-Unit brother Young Buck in years and then asked him to join him on stage.

Jordin Sparks and Jason Derulo have fueled rumours that they are dating, when they were pictured having dinner together over the weekend.

The pair wore big smiles as they left the Philippe Chow Restaurant in West Hollywood on Sunday night, and appeared very close. Jordin looked gorgeous in a black sheer dress, while Jason kept it casual in jeans, a white shirt and a brown leather jacket.

21-year-old Jordin joined Jason for the romantic, intimate dinner to celebrate his 21st birthday, fuelling speculation that they are more than friends. Jordin has previously been linked to Romeo Miller after the pair were spotted having dinner and attending events together.
