| New Balance x 13th Witness x Gold Fields – Teaser Video Posted: 22 Dec 2011 05:00 AM PST The NB574 is a project started by New Balance in Australia to showcase the talents of five creative individuals, spanning from artist, musician, designer, art director and entrepreneur. Every four months, a new video is uploaded chronicling the daily life of the individual. This month it documents Vinci Andanar, a musician from Australian band Gold Fields. To shoot their upcoming music video, 13th Witness flew down under and got straight to work. Unfortunately, the finished video is not ready to be shown yet, but a teaser video was created by videographer Louis Mitchell using an 8mm film camera. Watch the teaser after the jump for a taste of the forthcoming video.

| Nixon – 51-30 Chrono – White/Gold Posted: 22 Dec 2011 04:00 AM PST As if to welcome the snow season, Nixon is launching an all white 51-30 timepiece with gold details. The large chronograph watch contains an interesting twist that will only be revealed after some time. In fact, the whole watch is originally made in matte gold stainless steel. Parts of the watch was masked off and sprayed with gloss white paint for a clean two tone finish. Over time, the white paint will slowly wear away due to general wear and it will slowly unravel the original gold color underneath. A truly one-of watch will be created as a result and no single watch should look alike. Head over to your local Nixon dealers or jump onto ARKWAX in Japan to pick up the watch.

| Faralli & Mazzanti Evantra – New Super Car To Come Posted: 22 Dec 2011 01:00 AM PST Faralli & Mazzanti may sound like a neighborhood pasta restaurant, but the little known Italian automaker is cooking up something with more flavor than the zestiest pesto. Originally called the Mugello and now known as the Evantra (the abrupt name change may have something to do with the ownership of the Italian Mugello race track, aka Ferrari), F&M’s first production vehicle features an impressively sleek design and equally impressive specs. With production numbers limited to a stingy five examples, customers have the option to customize key features: they can choose between a naturally aspirated or twin-turbo 3.5-liter flat six engine good for 400 and 600 horsepower, as well as a composite or all aluminum body. With the latter, the car is hand-crafted and allows for a bespoke model personalized by the client. The Evantra can potentially weight as little as 1,200 kg (2,645 lbs) and go from 0 to 62 mph in just 3.7 seconds. Check out more looks of this limited-edition supercar after the click. via: Autoblog

| RE-Fresh: Nike Driving Force (1989) Posted: 22 Dec 2011 12:00 AM PST Produced by: Dan Hwang For this installment of the RE-Fresh series, we take a look at our third Nike Force model, the Driving Force. We've already closely inspected the Air Force 180 worn by Charles Barkley and the Air Force 180 High Pump model worn by David Robinson. The Force line carried sneakers meant for forwards and centers whose games demanded shoes that could handle the gritty style of play in the paint, whereas the Flight line had sneakers with a lighter build to enable guards to cross their opponents over with ease. Even without the massive "Force" logo on the tongue to clue you in, a glance at the monstrous, rugged high top lets you know which line this model finds itself in.

| The Hobbit: An Unexpected Journey – Official Trailer Posted: 21 Dec 2011 09:30 PM PST It’s hard to believe it’s already been ten years since the first installment of the “Lord of the Rings” film trilogy hit the big screen. The highly anticipated prequel, “The Hobbit: An Unexpected Journey,” is scheduled to arrive in theaters on December 14th, 2012, following a number of setbacks, including a directorial change that saw Guillermo del Toro leave the production in 2010 to be replaced by Peter Jackson, the auteur behind the “Lord of the Rings” films. Based on the J.R.R. Tolkien fantasy classic “The Hobbit,” the film follows Bilbo Baggins as he embarks on an epic adventure through strange lands to reclaim the lost Dwarf Kingdom Erebor. A number of familiar faces from the LOTR films reprise their roles in prequel: Ian McKellen as Gandalf, Elijah Wood as Frodo, Hugo Weaving as Elrond, Cate Blanchett as Galadriel, Orlando Bloom as Legolas and Ian Holm as Bilbo Baggins in his later years. (Martin Freeman takes on the younger Bilbo role.) Click through to view the just release official trailer for “The Hobbit: An Unexpected Journey.”

| 2006 Ferrari 575 GTZ | By Zagato Posted: 21 Dec 2011 09:00 PM PST Italian coachbuilder Zagato is famous for building bodies for competition cars and special one-offs, though it made an exception for the vehicle pictured above. In 2005, noted Japanese car collector Yushiyuki Hayashi commissioned Zagato to create a modern day version of the Ferrari 250 GTZ in honor of the vehicle’s 50th anniversary. Ferrari gave its blessing to allow the automaker’s official badges and logos to be used in the car design based on the 575M Maranello, but only under one condition: as Ferrari was unveiling its 599 GTB Fiorano at the 2006 Geneva Motor Show, Zagato would have to wait two months to unveil the all new Ferrari 575 GTZ at Concorso d’Eleganza Villa d’Este. Public reaction to the 575 GTZ was strong enough that Zagato ended up building another five models, with the first two going to Mr. Hayashi. One of those cars has made its way to Symbolic Motor Car Company in La Jolla, California, with mileage clocked at just 2,800. Featuring an all aluminum body in black and a unique green interior, the car lacks a listed asking price, which no doubt means it’s far beyond the reach of us 99 percenters. Check out more looks after the click. via: Autoblog
