| Bedwin & The Heartbreakers x Lee – ‘Holly’ Original Fit Satin Pants Posted: 30 Dec 2011 05:00 AM PST As 2011 comes to a close, Bedwin & The Heartbreakers have saved the best for last. Every season Bedwin & The Heartbreakers offer a wide range of collaboration products, making fans look forward to each new collection. These ‘Holly’ Original Fit Satin Pants are made by Lee and it pays tribute to the pants that heavily influenced the Ivy style back in the 60′s. The original pants were known as the Westerner, characterized by a slightly loose fit compared to standard chino pants and they are said to have been the catalyst for the creation of white jeans. These replications are available in two colorways, the classic Ivory and Black versions. Both pants feature a red Lee leather tag, along with Bedwin details on the front belt loop and underneath the back pocket. | Mynority Classics – 2012 Hip Hop Subway Calender Posted: 30 Dec 2011 02:00 AM PST In Japan, the Hip Hop culture is still going strong and ladies streetwear brand Mynority Classics is doing their part to keep the tradition alive in the Far East. Mynority Classics consists of New York bred DJ Sarasa, KN and Asami One. One item that caught our eyes is the 2012 Hip Hop Subway Calender. In essence, it pays tribute to the great MCs and DJs from the US and Japan, including Slick Rick, Run D.M.C., BDP up to Nas, Wu-Tang Clan and Kanye West. This calender has all of the legends scattered as train stations based on the Japanese subway map and allocations were carefully picked depending on the artist. As an example Public Enermy is located where the Congress Building is on the map and of course 2 Live Crew is replacing Disney Land. The calender comes in a B2 size and it can be ordered directly by contacting them on mynorityclassics@gmail.com.

| Nike Basketball: The Kobe System Posted: 29 Dec 2011 09:30 PM PST “Welcome to the Kobe System.” With that simple declarative sentence, Kobe Bryant begins his pitch. What’s he selling? Success. He knows you have awards, rings, ribbons, a filet mignon and flying cars, making you someone who’s at the top, someone who doesn’t need anyone’s advice. And that’s precisely how he knows you need his. The latest ad from Nike Basketball capitalizes on the “system” concept of Kobe’s seventh signature shoe, transforming the innovative sneaker into a formula for success that can be transferred a la Tony Robbins. Hilariously deadpan and overflowing with misplaced gravitas, the pitch is hypnotic all the same. Check out the very funny video after the click.

| Nike Vintage Nylon Blazer Hi – Electrolime | Pre-Order Posted: 29 Dec 2011 09:00 PM PST Of all the retro styles to undergo Nike’s pre-yellowed vintage treatment, it appears the Blazer is on the receiving end of that particular honor more frequently than most. It makes sense — the Blazer was born in 1973, after all, and its spartan, no-frills design certainly evokes a simpler time. A new Electrolime colorway, however, makes the case that the sneaker is just as relevant today as it was in the polyester ’70s. Built with a ballistic nylon upper in an appealing neon green hue that highlights the shoe’s clean lines, the Vintage Nylon Blazer Hi is available for pre-order now through End Clothing. End Clothing

| Johnny Cupcakes x Nickelodeon – Conception to Completion | Video Posted: 29 Dec 2011 07:00 PM PST Johnny Cupcakes, the Massachusetts-based label born of a DIY aesthetic, is teaming up with Nickelodeon for the third and final installment of their collaborative series. A new behind-the-scenes video captures interviews with Nickelodeon executives discussing the conception, execution and completion of the project. Rob LaQuinta, Creative Director of Product Design & Development at Nickelodeon, discloses that the company gave the Johnny Cupcakes team an unprecedented level of creative freedom because they wanted to see what their brands would look like through “the Johnny Cupcakes filter.” Teaser shots reveal graphics featuring beloved ’90s characters from the network (as Suzie Lee Raia, VP of Apparel for Nickelodeon observes, “’90s is nostalgia”), which presumably will make their way onto various T-shirt designs. Click through to check out the engaging video, and look for the collection to drop December 31st at Johnny Cupcakes flagships.
