| Nike Air Force 1 – Grey/Cashmere Posted: 04 Jan 2012 06:00 AM PST Amidst the new releases for this month, Nike is starting the delivery of an Air Force 1 with a hint of luxury. The simplicity of the footwear is shown off by the minimal use of color. Leather material in cool grey color wrap around the uppers, coordinated by matching mesh lining and outsoles. Only the heel tab and Swoosh on the side are made of cashmere, providing a contrast. To finish off, cream details are allocated on the shoe laces and midsoles, helping to neutralize the sneakers further. Be on the look out as these sneakers should be hitting the usual outlets soon. via: SF

| BKRW x Oakley – Crowbar Snow Goggles Posted: 04 Jan 2012 01:00 AM PST Following BKRW‘s successful collaboration with Oakley on two colorways of Frogskins, the pair are at it again, this time shifting their focus from street to snow with a set of limited-edition Crowbar Snow Goggles. Continuing the design motif of the Frogskins collaboration, the Crowbar’s frame and strap are adorned with a distinctive black-and-white chevron pattern. The strap connections and BKRW branding, meanwhile, are colored a vivid magenta hue — a nod to the wild ski outfits of the 1980s. The goggles are limited to just 30 pairs, and are in stock now at BKRW’s webstore.

| Ken Block x Ford Hybrid Function Hoon Vehicle – Gravel Road Test at Twin Peaks | Video Posted: 04 Jan 2012 12:00 AM PST Last December professional rally driver Ken Block and his Monster World Rally Team brought the HFHV Ford Fiesta to Snoqualmie Falls, Washington, to put the car through its paces for its first ever gravel test. Snoqualmie Falls is the home of the Dirtfish Rally School, but over 20 years ago it was the stand-in for Twin Peaks, the fictional small town for which the cult David Lynch television program was named. A new mashup video from the Monster World Rally Team intercuts footage of drifting vehicular mayhem with the sort of comically surreal scenes that were Twin Peaks‘ specialty, but the real highlights are the split-screens that juxtapose scenic shots from the actual show with the same location in present day. No need to worry — there’s more than enough spinning wheels and spitting gravel to keep rally car fans transfixed. Check out the video after the click.

| in icons – Steve Jobs Action Figure Posted: 03 Jan 2012 11:00 PM PST Bet you also did a double-take at that picture, didn’t you? Even if you get an eery feeling from this latest In Icons creation of the late co-founder 0f Apple, you have to admit that this is definitely one realistic Steve Jobs action figure. From the bottom of the New Balance sneakers to the iconic steel-rimmed glasses, the figurine measures 12 inches tall (or a 1:6 scale) and is decked out in his signature take on CEO attire. Set to release in February, the Jobs action figure comes with a change of socks, a chair, a “One More Thing” backdrop, and two apples — one with a bite — allowing you to have a front row seat to your own recreation of his most memorable productions. Check out more ‘action’ photos of the Steve Jobs figurine after the jump. Just be prepared to rub your eyes a few times in disbelief.

| Conversation with artist Freegums on the Nike LeBron 9 Collab | Video Posted: 03 Jan 2012 10:00 PM PST Freegums, aka Alvaro Ilizarbe, is a household name by now in sneakerhead circles, though it’s likely precious little is known about the Miami-based artist outside of the Nike LeBron 9 model that bears his distinctive designs. A new video from House of Hoops documents Freegum’s perspective, revealing that the Peruvian-born artist regularly draws inspiration from his adopted hometown, and ultimately mines those experiences to create art that’s heavily dominated by linear forms and patterns. He goes on to expresses gratitude for the very unique canvas in which he was able to showcase his own particular talents in South Beach. Check out the video after the click.

| Fresh Celeb: Meek Mill – Reebok John Wall ZigEncore Posted: 03 Jan 2012 09:30 PM PST Up and coming hip hop recording artist Meek Mill, a member of XXL‘s Freshmen Class of 2011, recently took a break from touring in support of his celebrated mixtape Dreamchasers to hang with his crew in his hometown of Philadelphia. The respite involved a favorite activity of the rapper’s — driving out to the backwoods for an afternoon of ATV riding. Meek was recently spotted on one such trip sporting a pair of signature kicks from an up and comer in the world of basketball, the Reebok John Wall ZigEncore. Lightweight and featuring flex grooves at the outsole for superior flexibility, the shoe is seemingly built for point guards quick on their feet as well as rappers quick on the mic. It’s available now through Reebok’s webstore.

| Case-Mate x STPL – Apple iPhone 4 Silicone Case Posted: 03 Jan 2012 09:18 PM PST After seeing the latest collaboration between Case-Mate and Staple Design’s STPL, you may never look at one of the most common natural city dwellers the same ever again. Back with another pigeon-inspired product, STPL paired up with Case-Mate to create a silicone case that is textured and colored to look like the wings and body of this most conspicuous of birds. Made to slip over the back and corners of the Apple iPhone 4/4s and enhance your grip, the case is several shades of grey save for its salmon-colored camera port and its pigeon feet key charm. Once in place, this case makes your phone both impact and bird-dropping resistant. Check out more looks at this city-ready case after the jump before heading over to New York’s Reed Space to pick one up. Reed Space

| mastermind JAPAN x Veritas Investment – mastermind JUBAN Apartment Complex Posted: 03 Jan 2012 08:00 PM PST A way to both exhibit its prominence within the fashion circle of Japan and to cap off numerous accomplishments over the last 15 years, designer Masaaki Homma conceptualized mastermind JUBAN, the ultimate collaborative project for his brand mastermind JAPAN. Still incomplete at the moment, mastermind JUBAN is 12-floor apartment complex to be situated at Higashiazabu, a neighborhood right at the heart of Tokyo and just minutes away from Roppongi. Funded by Japan’s Veritas Investment, the complex is an expression of all-inclusive design by Homma, from the dark wood kitchen units to the mammoth lobby decor of the mastermind JAPAN’s skull & cross bones logo, in Swarovski crystals. A total of six floor plans are available. There is the typical Tokyo studio with only 25 square meters, or 274 square feet, to spare. The largest comes with two bed rooms and about 66 square meters, or 712 square feet of space. Amenities include keyless entry, 24-hour security monitoring, state-of-the-art appliances, and 2 minutes walk to the nearest subway station. But the biggest draw might be its relative location to everything, from Tokyo Towers to shopping districts like Shibuya and Shinjuku. via: Fashionsnap mastermind JUBAN Apartment Complex
